The home was originally designed, constructed and lived in by an architect; as a result, it has superior construction both in the wood frame and in the steel reinforced, concrete foundation, a point frequently remarked upon by construction professionals over the years who were impressed with both the engineering and the build quality
  • We replaced all exterior access sliding doors, every skylight, and nearly every window in the house with Milgard Ultra fiberglass, double-paned insulated windows
  • The large picture windows were also all replaced with custom fabricated double-paned insulated glass units; this preserved the home’s original design but greatly improved its thermal integrity
  • New down-to-the-rafters roof, along with custom flashing was done around 2007
